More Space to Work at Home

Do you ever wish you had space to store or work on extra vehicles in your garage? When you’re working on larger vehicles, there are a lot of parts and components to check over. It’s hard work – and if you don’t have the right setup, you can end up paying for it.

Many car lovers, both professionals, and hobbyists put a lot into making sure their vehicles run smoothly. However, most don’t put the same amount of investment into making sure their own bodies are taken care of. Aching backs, sore muscles, and straining eyes are all common complaints of car enthusiasts.

Why Choose a Two-Post Car Lift?

A two-post vehicle lift is more compact and low-profile than a four-post lift while offering additional stability and heavier weight ratings compared to a single-piece column construction. The Liberator uses a single-piece column, while the Dakota and Duece use a two-piece column. Like all car lifts, a permanent two-post lift offers the most stable construction due to the additional strength that comes from being embedded in concrete. Two-post car lifts are suitable for most passenger vehicles and work in virtually every garage.

Advantages of Using Two Post Car Lifts

A two-post lift is an industrial-strength car lift that accommodates full-size trucks, sports cars, and other standard passenger cars. This proven design offers an accessible profile that allows for more convenient entry to the wheels and other car parts, which allows you to do break work and wheel work easily. They are excellent for use in narrow garages or spaces with a low overall width measurement.

Why is a 2 post better than a four-post lift?

Some automobile enthusiasts argue that two post lifts are better because they provide easy access to the wheels and provide more area for lowering.

What are some common components of two post lifts?

Some common components of two post lifts include single point lock release, single point safety release, tubular steel lifting carriage, double telescoping screw pads, direct drive lifting technology, swing arms, three-stage front arms, automatic arm restraints, and direct drive hydraulic cylinders. Single point lock release, three-stage front arms, and direct drive hydraulic cylinders are included on the Deuce, Liberator, and Dakota.

Do I need a special floor or foundation to support my new lift?

Almost all residential and commercial foundations can support our lifts. However, it is important to follow the specifications for concrete. Failure to do so might cause the lift to fail and result in personal injury or death.

A level floor is suggested for proper installation and level lifting. With proper shimming, small differences in floor slopes may be compensated for.

All specifications can be found in the owner/install manual.

How thick should concrete be for 2 post lifts?

The recommended thickness to be used to build an automobile lift concrete slabs are 4-inch minimum in most double-post lifts and 4-post lifts.

Can the lift be directly shipped to my residence and is offloading provided?

We can provide shipping to a business, residence, or local terminal. The cost may vary depending on your location and accessibility. We can have the trucking company provide offloading at an additional charge. Most people prefer to contract a local tow truck with a roll-back or tilt-and-load style flatbed. This is usually quicker and less costly. Trucking companies charge for wait times when offloading takes longer than the allotted time. You should make preparations beforehand to help avoid such charges.

What is the warranty on my lift?

Most of our lifts have the following warranty from the date of purchase:

  • A two-year warranty on all mechanical components, including the CSA/UL-listed pump and motor assembly.
  • A five-year warranty on all structural components.
  • A lifetime parts warranty on the cylinder assembly.

It is important to note that the warranties offered may vary by product. Please check your manual or with your local sales representative for the warranty specific to the product that you purchased.
